Vision

Youth soccer should be an activity that brings the community together- players, coaches, referees, parents, families, and general public. It should provide a positive experience for all, that carries with them through the remainder of their lives.

Mission

The purpose of the Rutherford County Soccer Association is to provide our youth the ideals of fair play, honesty, and good sportsmanship for the betterment of their physical and social well being through soccer.

RCSA will strive to provide a positive soccer environment for all involved, instilling a life-long love, enthusiasm, and passion for the game. RCSA will accomplish this by:

FIELDS

Developing and implementing a plan to procure new practice and game surfaces, and renovate/maintain existing surfaces. Maintaining existing fields and increasing the number of quality fields for practice and games is a cornerstone for growth and quality soccer.

COACHES

Recruiting and training coaches for ages U-5 through U-13. Coaches that are properly trained for U-5 through U-13 teams will have a good understanding of the skills necessary to coach U-13 through U-18 where teams play 11 v 11.

REFEREES

The quality of soccer games depend in part on having a sufficient quantity of qualified referees for games ages U10 and up. Therefore, RCSA will continue to take an active role in implementing recruiting, training, compensating, and implementing retention strategies for referees at all age levels of youth play.

PLAYERS

Increasing the recruitment and retention of youth soccer players of all ages, gender, race, and economic status by improving our communication with the parents and players, maintaining and improving the quality of fields, recruiting and maintaining quality trained coaches, and improving the scholarship capability of RCSA.

VOLUNTEERS

Implementing a plan for recruiting, training, and managing a large volunteer base for RCSA. The main aspect that keeps RCSA running is the volunteer base, which provides the environment for our children to play recreational and competitive soccer. Recruitment, coordination, supervision, and recognition of our volunteers are important for success.

FUND RAISING

Developing and implementing a coordinated fund raising program that supports the RCSA’s goals. RCSA is not rich in financial resources. Therefore, our ability to supplement the funds necessary for continued operations and growth will depend on the collective acquisition of funds and resources. RCSA appreciates our local sponsors and realizes recognition of our sponsors are important for success.

BUSINESS SYSTEMS

RCSA is a community-owned organization with a volunteer board of directors and volunteer staff members. It is imperative that this association operates in a manner that is accountable to our parents, children, municipal leaders, and the general public.
